Position: Procurement manager (region: London UK)

For one of our customers in London UK, we are searching for a Procurement Manager whom will further
develop the strategic EMEA purchasing and sourcing strategies and improve supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:
Manage plant purchasing activities for items procured on local basis in order to compliment centrally
purchased items,
Provide overall leadership for direct and indirect material management, supplies and services across EMEA,
Drive and manage aggressive regional and site cost reduction programmes,
Manage and maintain the procurement budgeting and reporting; develop appropriate tools for performance
and compliance monitoring,
Create competitive advantage through the development and implementation of effective supply strategies
that deliver lowest total cost, insure security of supply, and build and maintain strategic relationships with
key suppliers,
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve improved bottom line results through utilization of industry best
practices,
Negotiate and implement contracts / agreements that deliver competitive advantage,
Develop, coach and motivate with a clear goal of creating a high performance team,
Leverage company size and resources to affect most competitive supply arrangements,
Establish supplier selection, management and evaluation processes,
Set and drive initiatives regarding Sourcing strategies, industry outlooks, price forecasts and supplier management plans that meet business requirements,
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures and ethics and adherence to relevant laws and
industry regulations,
Ensure security of supply through the effective management of external supply chain Reporting line:
The person in this role will have a solid reporting line to the Operations Director EMEA and a functional
reporting line to the Global Procurement Director.

Requirements:
5 to 10 years management experience in a modern materials/purchasing Global or multinational organization,
3 to 5 years manufacturing, technical or other related operations management experience,
Strong leadership and excellent communications skills with all internal levels and external constituencies,
An effective negotiator with strong interpersonal skills,
Experience of working within a multicultural and/or matrix environment is a prerequisite,
Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP would be an advantage,
Ideally will have experience in supply agreement Sourcing arrangements, strategic supply development,
global Sourcing, e-commerce, best purchasing practices,
Ability to provide strategic leadership in a cross-functional, collaborative team setting,
Must be a good project manager, analytical, broad business understanding,
Advanced degree Strong business ethics and integrity.
